Your Happy Ending Has Been Revoked is a free adult comedy visual novel for the browser. You won; everyone says so. Then the Director, a vain narrator with enormous power, rewrites your ending, and the cast would like their lives back.

At a lavish victory ceremony, everyone congratulates you on a lifetime of heroic choices you barely remember. Vivienne, the woman the programme calls your reward, has other plans: a rented room on the coast and a lock on her side of the door. When she refuses the part, the Director rewrites her into the villain.

What follows is a fight over who owns the story, across a theatre company, a hotel with an undead detective, a career in villainy, and every genre the Director grabs when he panics: a space heist, a hospital drama, a stage musical, a western, a fifties sitcom and a zombie siege. Choices split and rejoin with their consequences intact, a ledger keeps score of every promise, and each new run remembers who left the last one.

Every narrator line is performed, the cast act with directed faces and poses on a painted stage, and act breaks open on narrated cutscenes. It runs in any modern browser, free, with no account and no ads.
