Your happy endinghas beenRevoked!
A comedy visual novel about the choices you weren’t supposed to make.
You saved the kingdom, won the girl and earned a statue. Then the Director, a narrator with enormous power and a very fragile ego, decides your ending would read better without you in it.

The premise
You won. Everyone says so.
At a lavish victory ceremony, everyone congratulates you on a lifetime of heroic choices you barely remember making.
Vivienne, the woman you were supposedly rewarded with, would like a word. She has rented a room on the coast. It has hideous wallpaper, a kettle with opinions and a lock on her side of the door. When she refuses to be the prize, the Director rewrites her into the villain.
So begins a fight over who owns the story. The cast want their lives back, the genres keep changing without notice, and the evidence keeps contradicting the narration. Every choice you make is written down, and the people you made it with remember.
“I’ve been abducted, resurrected, and married to a prophecy. Somehow the prize was always me.”

The company
A cast with opinions about their parts
Every one of them has been rewritten at least once. Most of them noticed.

Vivienne
Retired romantic lead
Fast, specific and tired of being awarded to people. Would like a room, breakfast and a door she can close.

Tippet
The witness
Impeccably courteous and never wrong about what actually happened. Remembers your last run precisely.

Seraphine Saint
Replacement heroine, aspiring villain
Rehearses her threats beautifully, then keeps accidentally being helpful.

Mirabel Voss
Slime executive
Hears an outrageous idea and immediately finds its next workable step. Off duty, considerably less tidy.

Ivo Rook
Undead detective
Investigates his own impossible history with professionally inconvenient honesty.

Corvina
The lead before Vivienne
The most successful person in the room, still giving notes nobody asked for. The notes are good.

Daybreak
Golden-boy hero
Genuinely brave, spectacularly pleased with himself, and precise about exactly how many people he saved.
Same company, wrong genre
The story keeps changing channels
The Director’s production leaks. One minute it is a gothic romance; the next, the company is robbing a property store in orbit and nobody has been told their lines.
Space heistA Job Outside the Script
Vivienne is the cargo, carried out in a crate. Corvina is the fixer, and her plan has a name crossed out.
Hospital dramaThe Body Is Not Evidence Storage
Ivo’s case needs one consultation. The ward would much rather keep a dead detective as a cliffhanger.
Stage musicalA Monster with a Dinner Reservation
The Mother of Mouths booked a quiet dinner and wrote NO SINGING on the reservation. The Director has other plans.
WesternThe Hotel’s New Investor
The hotel’s guest is suddenly the most valuable man in town. Seraphine rides in with a deed, and someone wants a showdown at noon.
Fifties sitcomEvery Week, Forever
Nobody can leave a situation comedy. Every exit comes back in through the kitchen to a bigger laugh.
Zombie siegeThe Last Living Witness
At midnight the siege wants its last living witness to hold the door for ever. She has other ideas.

Why it plays differently
The story keeps receipts
-
Choices on the record
Branches split and rejoin, but what you did stays done. A ledger tracks every promise kept, broken or still owed.
-
Runs that remember
Finish a run and start another. Whoever got out last time is missing this time, and by the third run the Director admits he has seen this before.
-
A narrator who performs
Every narrator line is performed with direction, the music dips under speech, and quiet scenes keep the hush of a real room.
Now casting voices
Thirty-seven parts are written for human actors and waiting for one. If you voice act, the company would like to hear you.
